Zoia Nikolova is a doula, intuitive guide, and proud mother of two who has been supporting families and individuals through life’s most transformative transitions for nearly two decades. Originally from Bulgaria, she has called the Ottawa Valley and Lanark Highlands home for more than 30 years, bringing warmth, wisdom, and grounded presence to every person she works with.
Her journey into birth work began in 2006 as a Mothercraft volunteer, where she discovered her gift for holding space during the tender perinatal period. She went on to train professionally as a doula in 2009 and has spent the years since offering compassionate support, education, and emotional grounding as families welcome new life.
Zoia believes that the perinatal period is a time of profound growth—not only for the baby, but for the entire family. She approaches her work with deep respect for each family’s unique story, offering gentle guidance that honours both collective and individual needs. Her calm presence and compassionate listening create a safe space for healing, connection, and honest conversation—foundations that help families navigate challenges and rediscover joy in their journey together.
Her goal is always to provide steady, nurturing support that helps parents feel grounded and confident through every transition. Whether she’s offering hands-on assistance, emotional reassurance, or practical education, Zoia’s approach is rooted in empathy, intuition, and genuine love for the work she does.
In recent years, Zoia’s path has expanded to include supporting individuals beyond the perinatal period. As a Certified Numerologist, Certified Life Coach, and Reiki Master, she weaves energetic guidance, intuitive insight, and practical tools into her work. Her sessions—whether individual or in community—are truly an experience: shaped by the person in front of her, the surrounding universal energy, and the quiet wisdom rising from within. These sessions offer a powerful pause from everyday life, inviting people to breathe, ground, reconnect with themselves, and discover their next aligned step forward.
Her current offerings include monthly Women’s/Community Circles and Intuitive Movement: Party for the Soul events, which blend energy, embodiment, community, and deep self-connection.
Outside of her practice, Zoia enjoys spending time with her husband and children, relaxing in nature, dancing, camping, and traveling. Her joyful spirit and warm energy infuse both her personal life and her work with clients.
She provides services in English and Bulgarian.

Shannon is a Holistic Nutritionist & Health Coach who specializes in helping women optimize
their fertility by implementing a “whole-body health” approach. Fertility is not only governed by
our reproductive organs - it is a delicate balance between all systems in the body. You may not
think about blood sugar & hormonal control, gut health and liver support when you think about
improving your chances at getting pregnant, but these are some of the foundations of fertility!
She has first hand experience in struggling to get pregnant and in pregnancy loss. Her fertility
journey through the conventional medical system lasted for 3 years until she finally welcomed a
beautiful baby girl into the world in 2024. It was because she experienced the disconnect
between traditional medicine and true body healing, that she found Holistic Nutrition and started
to use food as medicine for herself. This sparked a passion for nutrition in her, a passion that
she is now excited to offer to other women throughout their fertility journey and into motherhood.
The foods we eat provide the literal building blocks for our bodies. Shannon’s goal is to educate
and empower women to fuel themselves with the right balance of nutrients. In doing so you
provide your own body what it needs to feel safe & fertile, and your future (or growing!) baby
with the nourishment they need to thrive!
Education and Credentials:
Holistic Nutritionist & Health Coach Diploma (2025)
Holistic Nutrition Program Certificate (2023)
Bachelor of Applied Science (2014)
Bachelor of Public Health (2011)

Meaghan is a Registered Yoga Teacher and a Certified Grief Edu-Therapy Specialist, with a
Bachelors in Health Sciences. Looking to shift away from the field of Addictions and Mental
Health Counselling, after being a Supportive Housing Caseworker, she began to explore other
avenues of being able to offer support to people in times of difficulty and hardship. In 2018, she
completed training to become a Certified Grief Edu-Therapy Specialist, fueling her desire to help
individuals who have experienced significant loss, abuse or other trauma. She understands and
wants to share the power that comes with freeing the self from a sense of isolation and painful
and conflicting feelings. She believes this can be achieved through an understanding of
emotionally helpful and liberating exercises. After completing the Grief Edu-Therapy program,
Meaghan began to see a correlation between individuals suffering with grief and trauma, and
how if left unaddressed, it can create a debilitating, stagnant energy within the body.
Curious about learning to find balance and peace within the mind, body and spirit, Meaghan
began to explore an interest in Yoga. She has always had an interest in movement and flow,
being involved in many activities and sports from a young age. She understands the profoundly
positive impact that movement can have on the mind, body and spirit as a whole. In 2019,
Meaghan completed training at the Alberta Yoga College to become a Certified Yoga Teacher.
She currently has a focus and interest in Hatha Yoga, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, Meditation and
Pranayama (Breath Regulation) and specialty classes! She just began dipping her toes into
learning about Ayurveda as well.
